Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Once the article has been properly formatted according to the relevant template, it must be submitted via the journal's website using the "Submit Article" tool. To complete the submission, you must fill out the submission form, upload the article in MS Word format, and complete all primary structural blocks in both Ukrainian and English (article title, abstract, and keywords—note that each keyword must be entered separately by pressing the Enter key). Additionally, you are required to provide author affiliations, including: Full name and initials; Email address and ORCID; Place of employment and position; Academic degree and academic title; References.
  • Prepare and edit the article in accordance with the editorial board's requirements. The length of the article must be at least 7 pages, and the number of authors must not exceed 5. The article template outlines the requirements for the structure, providing explanations of the specific content to be reflected in the corresponding structural blocks. Examples for formatting the list of references, References, and author affiliations are also provided. Open the template file and save it under a different name. The main rule: do not format the text manually (do not change the font or indentation using the toolbar buttons). Use only the predefined styles (the template provides a full explanation of which styles should be applied to each element of the article). When preparing an article in English, you must download the English-language template. To do this, change the website language to English. You can download the template: https://ee.zp.edu.ua/libraryFiles/downloadPublic/2361
  • By submitting the manuscript for consideration, the authors certify that the work has not been previously published and is not under consideration by any other journal. The authors assume full responsibility for complying with the copyrights of other individuals and organizations, the accuracy of citations, data, and illustrations, and the non-disclosure of state or official secrets. Furthermore, the authors confirm the absence of any conflict of interest and agree to transfer, free of charge, the rights for publication, translation into foreign languages, storage, and distribution of the article materials in any form to the journal's editorial board.

The Editorial Review Process

Upon submission of the article via the OJS platform, the manuscript undergoes three stages of the workflow: peer review, copyediting, and production. (Please disregard the "Unscheduled" status. This status is updated during the typesetting of the entire issue immediately prior to its publication on the website).

The Review Process. To ensure a high-quality, unbiased expert evaluation of the submitted manuscript, the Editorial Board employs a double-blind peer review process.

The Journal Editor initially reviews the submitted article to assess its compliance with the journal's scope, policies, and requirements. The estimated timeframe for this initial editorial review is up to 7 days. In the event that the article does not align with the journal's subject matter, demonstrates low scientific quality, is improperly formatted or structured, or fails to meet the journal's requirements and policies, the Editor shall reject the submission (notifying the authors of the reasons) or suggest that the authors revise the manuscript. If all journal requirements are met, the article is sent for peer review to at least two experts working in the relevant field. The manuscript undergoes double-blind peer review: neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities. Consequently, if two reviews are negative, the article is rejected. The approximate timeframe for the peer review process is 1–2 months. (Detailed information regarding the ethical policy of the review process can be found here).

Reviewers' comments, along with any recommendations for manuscript revision, are communicated to the authors via the OJS platform. The Editor shall notify the authors whether the manuscript has been accepted without revision, whether the authors are granted the opportunity to revise and resubmit the manuscript, or whether the manuscript has been rejected.

The Copyediting Process. If an article is recommended for publication following the peer review process, the editorial office verifies the accuracy of the reference list formatting and screens the manuscript for plagiarism and text citations using specialized software and electronic services. (Detailed information regarding the ethical policy on plagiarism detection can be found here). The approximate timeframe for this verification process is 1–2 weeks.

If the article is found to contain significant borrowed text fragments without proper citation (plagiarism or self-plagiarism), the Editor may, at their discretion, reject the article from publication if the borrowings are substantial. Alternatively, the Editor may return the article to the authors for revision.

The Typesetting Process. If an article is recommended for publication by the reviewers and, following any revisions by the authors, is deemed original and free of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or copyright infringements, it is formally accepted by the Editor for publication.
